About cara

My journey to become a professional artist has taken a long, winding, and lovely road. I have a degree in environmental science, currently and currently work as the business manager of our family martial arts academy.

I have no formal art education, and like most artists, have been drawn to creating in any sense for as long as I can remember. My garden, as well as the surrounding woods and lakes are a huge inspiration for me, and these themes regularly pop-up in my works.

My studio is set-up in our converted attic. There I get to see the sky, tops of trees, listen to the birds, and be completely oblivious to the chaos below :)

Our martial arts school, Phil Clark's Martial Arts Academy, is located in Ashland, Kentucky. My husband Phil and I have four awesome boys who are growing up way too fast and will be leaving the nest sooner than later. We also have three dogs, but that's another story...
